Accessibility page

The accessibility policy for your store

In Zen Cart 2.0.0 and higher, accessibility page for your store may be accessed at index.php?main_page=accessibility.

You can fill in the details of your accessibility statement using the Define Pages Editor.

You can do a web search on “accessibility statement” to get some ideas for the content you should have on this page. The specifics may be jurisdiction-dependant.

A possible starting point would be something like:

YOURNAME is committed to keeping our site accessible to everyone. We welcome feedback on ways to improve this site’s accessibility.

Telephone number / Email address / Contact form URL

It’s also recommended that you offer to run orders for people who are having trouble using your site. You can use the procedure specified on the Place order page. You can use this sort of language on your accessibility page and/or your about us page:

If you are having trouble placing an order, please contact us and we will place an order on our website on your behalf.

The accessibility page is built in to version 2.0.0 of Zen Cart. An accessibility page plugin is available as a plugin for older versions.

Still have questions? Use the Search box in the upper right, or try the full list of FAQs. If you can't find it there, head over to the Zen Cart support forum and ask there in the appropriate subforum. In your post, please include your Zen Cart and PHP versions, and a link to your site.

Is there an error or omission on this page? Please post to General Questions on the support forum. Or, if you'd like to open a pull request, just review the guidelines and get started. You can even PR right here.
